BLACK LIVES MATTER

Like so many, we are disturbed, saddened, angry and grieving about the murders of Ahmaud Arbery, Breonna Taylor and George Floyd. The targeting of African  American men is racist and deplorable. Quite simply, it must stop. We stand in solidarity with the Black Lives Matter movement and Black organizers here and all over the country.

ECO2school is on the move!

Starting in August ECO2school will be moving to a new umbrella organization, Daily Acts, for the upcoming school year. Staying true to our roots here in Sonoma County, ECO2school will continue offering mentorship for high school students in service-learning projects and activities that both build awareness and lead to action on climate change.
Daily Act’s motto of “every action makes a ripple” underlines ECO2school’s mission of connecting our personal actions to the overall health for ourselves, our communities, and our planet. As we enter this pivotal decade for the protection of our climate, this union will allow additional avenues for personal, community, and policy-level actions. From active transportation and permaculture projects to actions that support our mental health and wellness, ECO2school is excited to help our high school youth leaders build the future they want to be a part of.
Senior Program Coordinator, Kevin Anderson, will be moving with the program. He and the Daily Acts team are excited to work with you in the coming years in building a climate-friendly and more equitable Sonoma County!

Transportation is the Bay Area's biggest GHG producer. Solving the transportation puzzle is critical to climate solutions.

ECO2school encourages students to take green ways to school and/or use alternative low-carbon commute options. We use a service-learning model working with student leaders in high schools across the county to bring real life learning applications to schools that support healthy living, safe low-carbon commutes, traffic decongestion, and improved air quality for the entire community.
